Once upon a time.. This mansion pulsated with life! The windows were aglow with lights from within. The furnishings glistened with coatings of beeswax. The walls echoed with laughter from the perfumed Ladies and handsome Gentlemen. Now.. all that remains is a shell of what once was. War, time, and nature have taken their toll.
The original painting, which hangs in a special place in my home, depicts an actual plantation. This was known as "Ariel". These ruins are located in Louisiana. ALV
