Ya'll Come on In!!!
Pull up a chair, 'set' a spell, and let's talk about the places we've been and the people we've met.
I love history! I just love to go to historic sites, and absorb all of the facts and some of the fiction. If you really want to get my attention, just bring up Civil War History!!
Some of us are lucky enough to travel because of our careers! What is so great about this way of life, is that I get to actually LIVE in an area, learn my way around, and find the little nooks and crannies that someone just 'passing through' misses! I'll admit .. I have never been outside the US, but .. THIS country is very, very interesting! There are breathtaking landscapes, wonderful places where history has painstakingly been preserved, and most important .. some wonderful and interesting people to meet!
This is a 'slide show', so please give it time to load, and Enjoy!!!

The Chickamauga Battlefield was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War! Out of the 124,000 soldiers who engaged in this battle, 1,656 Union Soldiers lost their lives, and 2,673 Confederate Soldiers were killed. |
